Great Commitment
Velafrica is coordinated and managed by a team of 24 employees, all focused on mobility with prospects. Their work is the equivalent of 13.2 full time employees. They are supported by two people undertaking community service.
At Velafrica, we work velocratically. Velocracy is an agile organisational model that Velafrica has developed based on the holocratic organisational model: traditional hierarchical structures are replaced by function-related roles and employees fulfil their responsibilities in a self-organised and autonomous manner. Approximately 30 volunteers contribute more than 2000 hours of voluntary work every year through the bicycle workshop, bike collections and information events.
Advisory board
The advisory board is a formal body with an advisory function. Board members offer advice, suggestions and recommendations based on the vision and mission of Velafrica, including future strategic and operational developments. Commitment to the Advisory Board is voluntary.
