In Switzerland, the average journey to school takes just twelve minutes. But in rural regions of sub-Saharan Africa, children often have to walk for hours, which can be dangerous. Our «Bike to School» programme provides children and young people from poor backgrounds with bicycles at a reduced price.
With your donation, you can now double the impact: until 31 December 2023, every donation will be doubled by a Swiss family foundation and a loyal supporter of Velafrica – up to a total amount of 100,000 Francs.

In the four years since the «Bike to School» programme began, Velafrica has distributed over 5,700 bikes to schoolchildren – 2,000 of them in 2022. Take part in this unique opportunity and give schoolchildren worldwide more mobility and therefore also educational opportunities!
