United under the umbrella of the Sinnovativ Foundation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Velafrica is an organization within the Bernese Sinnovativ Foundation<\/a>.<\/strong> The Foundation also includes the Wege Weierb\u00fchl<\/a> which offers places for assisted and accompanied living and the Drahtesel<\/a>. Alongside a bicycle shop, the horticulture & handicraft department, the B\u00fcro plus and the Dreig\u00e4nger<\/a> shop and restaurant, it offers people a wide range of employment and training opportunities whilst progressing towards the primary job market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A progressive organizational model<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2018, based on the holacratic organizational model, Velafrica developed and implemented a new organizational model \u2013 the Velocracy. Instead of the classic hierarchical organization, it is an organic circular model in which each team member contributes, through their role and responsibilities, to fulfill the mission of Velafrica. <\/strong>With the Velocracy, Velafrica places considerable demands on its employees. However, we are convinced that this structure allows our competencies and skills to be optimally utilised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Velafrica views itself as an innovative, socially responsible organization. We try to live up to this claim through Velocracy.
